The countertop nugget dispenser expects ice to come out within 30 minutes of making ice. When it does not, it shows E01 and blinks the Ice and Water buttons together once a second. Blue Air lists the compressor, fan motor, gear motor or level sensor not working, a leak or blocked line, heat, and voltage. Blue Air ice machine display · also shown as Ice & Water buttons blink together What to do when E01 shows on the ice machine ### Kind of code Harvest and freeze cycle A freeze ran longer than the board allows, or a harvest started and the ice never fell. Scale on the evaporator holds the sheet to the plate, a thickness probe crusted with minerals never signals, a hot gas valve that does not open leaves the plate cold, a harvest assist that does not push, or a water curtain that swings without tripping its switch all end in this family. A cleaning cycle run by the manual often clears it; a valve or a probe is a technician's job. ### Usually leads to Ice machine harvest repair The hot gas valve, harvest assist, curtain switch and thickness probe that decide when a sheet of cubes is done and make it drop. ### Shows up as Ice Machine Error Code or Flashing Light: What It Is Telling You An ice machine error code may show as a number on a small display, a pattern of blinking lights on the control board, a colored light on the front, or a machine that stops with one indicator flashing. ### Make Blue Air Blue Air ice machine calls start by reading the controls and looking at the evaporator for scale that slows the freeze. ### Source Blue Air BLDN-280A countertop ice and water dispenser manual BLDN-280A countertop nugget ice and water dispenser (manual I515A-010, 2023). ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Blue Air's own guidance for E01 on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Check that the dispenser has space around it for air and the air filter is clean. 02 Confirm the dispenser's water shut-off valve is turned on. 03 Switch the dispenser off and on and listen for the compressor and fan. 04 If E01 returns, book a visit. ### Still there? Check that the dispenser has space around it for air and the air filter is clean. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Both buttons on my Blue Air dispenser blink at once. What does it mean? That is E01: the machine tried to make ice for 30 minutes without success. Check airflow and water, restart once, then book a visit if it returns. ### Can a stuck gear motor cause E01 on the Blue Air BLDN-280A? Yes, it is on Blue Air's list. A motor that has a problem of its own usually shows E03 instead. ### Does heat in the room cause E01 on my Blue Air dispenser? It can. Blue Air lists high air or water temperature as a cause, so a dispenser near a heat source may struggle. --- **[Read on the site: Blue Air E01: the ice dispenser ran 30 minutes without making ice](https://icemachinerepair.center/error-codes/blue-air-e01/)** **[Book a visit with IceMachineRepair.center](https://icemachinerepair.center/schedule/)**
