--- title: "Blue Air E02: the ice dispenser compressor is running too hot" description: "What E02 means on Blue Air E02: the ice dispenser compressor is running too hots, what to check before booking, and when it is not a failure at all." url: "https://icemachinerepair.center/error-codes/blue-air-e02/" --- # Blue Air E02: the ice dispenser compressor is running too hot The dispenser watches its compressor temperature. ## What E02 actually means. The dispenser watches its compressor temperature. When airflow is poor, the filter is dirty, the fan is not running or the room is too warm, the compressor overheats and the board shows E02. Blue Air specifically calls out a dirty condenser that needs its filter cleaned. Blue Air ice machine display · also shown as Ice button blinks once a second What to do when E02 shows on the ice machine ### Kind of code Condenser and airflow The machine could not shed its heat. An air filter packed with lint, a condenser coil furred with grease and dust, a fan motor that no longer spins, a machine pushed into a hot corner without its clearance, a water-cooled condenser whose regulating valve starves it, or a remote condenser on a roof blocked by leaves all show up here. Washing the air filter and freeing the space around the machine clears many cases; a fan motor or a valve means a visit. ### Usually leads to Ice machine condenser and fan repair Air-cooled coils, fan motors and filters, water-cooled regulating valves and rooftop remote condensers, cleaned or repaired so the ice machine can shed its heat. ### Shows up as Ice Machine Error Code or Flashing Light: What It Is Telling You An ice machine error code may show as a number on a small display, a pattern of blinking lights on the control board, a colored light on the front, or a machine that stops with one indicator flashing. ### Make Blue Air Blue Air ice machine calls start by reading the controls and looking at the evaporator for scale that slows the freeze. ### Source Blue Air BLDN-280A countertop ice and water dispenser manual BLDN-280A countertop nugget ice and water dispenser. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Blue Air's own guidance for E02 on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Pull out and rinse the air filter; Blue Air asks for this every two weeks. 02 Leave at least 6 inches of space at the back, sides and top of the dispenser. 03 Move heat sources such as coffee brewers away from the air intake. 04 If E02 comes back with a clean filter, book a visit to check the fan motor. ### Still there? Pull out and rinse the air filter; Blue Air asks for this every two weeks. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### How often should I clean the air filter on a Blue Air nugget dispenser? Blue Air's schedule says to rinse the air filter every two weeks, more often in a dusty or greasy spot. ### My Blue Air dispenser is tucked into a cabinet and shows E02. Is that why? Likely. It needs about 6 inches of open space at the back, sides and top to move heat. ### Will the Blue Air dispenser restart after E02 by itself? The manual does not describe an automatic restart. Clean the filter, give it air, then switch it off and on. --- **[Read on the site: Blue Air E02: the ice dispenser compressor is running too hot](https://icemachinerepair.center/error-codes/blue-air-e02/)** **[Book a visit with IceMachineRepair.center](https://icemachinerepair.center/schedule/)**
