Marvel's clear ice control watches its temperature sensors for open or shorted circuits. When the bin sensor fails, the machine goes straight to an off state and the word OFF flashes at one-second intervals. Marvel's direction is to have the sensor replaced. Marvel ice machine display · also shown as "OFF" flashing once a second What to do when OFF flashing shows on the ice machine ### Kind of code Sensors and bin control A sensor is telling the board something that is not true: a bin control that reads full on an empty bin, or empty while ice spills over the top, a curtain switch stuck open, a temperature sensor out of range, or an eye on a dispenser that no longer sees the cup. Scale and slime on a probe or an ultrasonic sensor cause much of it. Clearing ice piled against the bin control is a safe first step; testing and replacing a sensor is a technician's. ### Usually leads to Ice machine bin control repair The thermostat bulb, paddle, curtain switch or electronic eye that senses a full bin, adjusted or replaced so the machine stops and restarts on time. ### Shows up as Ice Machine Error Code or Flashing Light: What It Is Telling You An ice machine error code may show as a number on a small display, a pattern of blinking lights on the control board, a colored light on the front, or a machine that stops with one indicator flashing. ### Make Marvel Marvel ice machine visits in a home start with the drain and the water supply, then move to the clear ice cycle. ### Source Marvel clear ice machine owner's guide (MACL215, MACP215, MLCL215, MLCP215, MOCL215, MOCP215, MP15CP) Marvel Classic, Low Profile and Outdoor 15-inch clear ice machines with the ICE, ECO, OFF, DOOR and CLEAN word display (MLCL215/MLCP215, MACL215/MACP215, MOCL215/MOCP215 and the earlier MA15C, ML15C, MO15C, MP15C). Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Tell a steady OFF, which only means the machine was switched off, from a flashing one. 02 Try holding ON/OFF for three seconds; if OFF keeps flashing, leave it off. 03 Book a visit to replace the bin sensor. ### Still there? Tell a steady OFF, which only means the machine was switched off, from a flashing one. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### My Marvel ice machine says OFF and will not turn on. Is it broken? If OFF is flashing, the bin sensor has failed and the control is holding the machine off on purpose. It needs a new sensor. ### Why is there no beep when my Marvel flashes OFF? Marvel set this signal to run silently. Only the door alarm sounds a tone. ### Can I keep using the ice in my Marvel after OFF starts flashing? Yes, the stored ice is fine, but the machine will not make more until the sensor is replaced. --- **[Read on the site: Marvel clear ice machine flashing OFF: bin sensor failed](https://icemachinerepair.center/error-codes/marvel-off-flashing/)** **[Book a visit with IceMachineRepair.center](https://icemachinerepair.center/schedule/)**
