Maxx Ice machines stop making ice when the bin fills. Modular heads sense it through the water curtain, which is held open by ice that cannot drop; self-contained units use a bin full probe. Anything that holds the curtain open or blocks the probe gives the same message with a half-empty bin. Maxx Ice ice machine display · also shown as Red Bin Full LED on What to do when Bin Full shows on the ice machine ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure Nothing is broken; the control is reporting a state someone chose or a routine it runs: a clean or sanitize reminder counting the hours since the last cycle, a delay of a few minutes after power returns before the pump and compressor start, a bin-full light while the bin control is satisfied, or a standby or off mode someone chose at the keypad. No part is needed; finishing the cycle the light asks for, waiting out the delay or the key sequence from the manual ends it. ### Usually leads to No repair Look in the bin; if it is full, this is normal and the machine will restart as ice is used. ### Shows up as Ice Machine Error Code or Flashing Light: What It Is Telling You An ice machine error code may show as a number on a small display, a pattern of blinking lights on the control board, a colored light on the front, or a machine that stops with one indicator flashing. ### Make Maxx Ice A Maxx Ice call opens with the location: room temperature, airflow around the unit and a drain that falls the way it should. ### Source Maxx Ice Intelligent Series modular MIM360N to MIM1000N manual LCD text on Intelligent Series models; on MIM452, MIM600, MIM1000, MIM250 and the smaller self-contained units the red Bin Full or Ice Full LED stays lit instead. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Maxx Ice's own guidance for Bin Full on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Look in the bin; if it is full, this is normal and the machine will restart as ice is used. 02 If the bin is not full, check that the water curtain hangs freely and no cube is stuck under it. 03 On self-contained units, clear any ice resting against the bin full probe. 04 If Bin Full stays with an empty bin and a free curtain, book a visit to check the curtain switch or probe. ### Cleared? The light or code is gone, and the machine fills, freezes and drops a full batch of cubes into the bin with no new part. If it returns within a week, or the clean light comes back straight after a cleaning cycle, mention that in the booking. ### What not to do Bin Full is not an error and does not mean the machine has failed. It is different from Bin Full Release, which is the three-minute wait after the bin has been emptied. ## What you may notice with it. The ice machine problems Bin Full tends to arrive with. Look in the bin; if it is full, this is normal and the machine will restart as ice is used. ### Why does my Maxx Ice say Bin Full with only a little ice in the bin? Something is holding the water curtain open or resting on the bin full probe. A curtain knocked off its hinge during cleaning is the most common reason. ### How long after I take ice out will my Maxx Ice start again? About three minutes. The machine shows Bin Full Release, or flashes the red light, for three minutes and then goes back to making ice. ### My Maxx Ice keeps making ice even though the bin is overflowing. Is that Bin Full too? No, that is the opposite problem: the curtain or probe is not telling the board the bin is full. Book a visit to check the switch or probe. --- **[Read on the site: Maxx Ice Bin Full: the ice machine paused because the bin looks full](https://icemachinerepair.center/error-codes/maxx-ice-bin-full/)** **[Book a visit with IceMachineRepair.center](https://icemachinerepair.center/schedule/)**
