Intelligent Series machines check themselves at start-up and while running: the condenser and evaporator probes, the bin full probe or curtain switch, condenser temperature, water supply, and freeze and harvest times. When any of them is out of line, an exclamation mark blinks in the corner of the LCD. Pressing ADJUST replaces the normal screen with the name of the check that failed. Maxx Ice ice machine display · also shown as ! What to do when Blinking exclamation mark shows on the ice machine ### Kind of code Sensors and bin control A sensor is telling the board something that is not true: a bin control that reads full on an empty bin, or empty while ice spills over the top, a curtain switch stuck open, a temperature sensor out of range, or an eye on a dispenser that no longer sees the cup. Scale and slime on a probe or an ultrasonic sensor cause much of it. Clearing ice piled against the bin control is a safe first step; testing and replacing a sensor is a technician's. ### Usually leads to Ice machine bin control repair The thermostat bulb, paddle, curtain switch or electronic eye that senses a full bin, adjusted or replaced so the machine stops and restarts on time. ### Shows up as Ice Machine Error Code or Flashing Light: What It Is Telling You An ice machine error code may show as a number on a small display, a pattern of blinking lights on the control board, a colored light on the front, or a machine that stops with one indicator flashing. ### Make Maxx Ice A Maxx Ice call opens with the location: room temperature, airflow around the unit and a drain that falls the way it should. ### Source Maxx Ice Intelligent Series MIM150N to MIM320N(H) service and installation manual Intelligent Series self-contained MIM150N to MIM320N(H) and modular MIM360N to MIM1000N(H) with the LCD control. Press ADJUST and write down exactly what the screen shows. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### How do I find out why my Maxx Ice shows a blinking exclamation mark? Press the ADJUST button while it blinks. The LCD then shows which check failed, such as a probe, the condenser temperature, water shortage or a long cycle. ### My Maxx Ice modular head shows the ! right after I turn it on. Is that serious? At start-up the modular heads test the curtain switch and both temperature probes. A curtain that is off its hinge can trip it, so check the curtain first, then book a visit if the mark stays. ### Does the exclamation mark clear itself on a Maxx Ice? If the condition goes away, such as water returning after the tap was off, the machine can carry on. A probe or switch problem keeps it blinking until the part is fixed. --- **[Read on the site: Maxx Ice blinking exclamation mark: the ice machine self-check found a problem](https://icemachinerepair.center/error-codes/maxx-ice-exclamation-mark/)** **[Book a visit with IceMachineRepair.center](https://icemachinerepair.center/schedule/)**
