The GSWF filter behind the lower access door is tracked by a timer. At about 5 months the light comes on as an ordering reminder, and at about 6 months it flashes to say the cartridge should be changed; heavy use brings both earlier. Pressing Filter Reset after the change restarts the timer. Monogram ice machine display · also shown as Replace Filter light, Replace Filter flashing What to do when Replace Filter shows on the ice machine ### Kind of code Water supply The water side came up short: the trough did not fill in the time allowed, the float or level probe never saw water, or water kept flowing when the inlet valve should have closed. A supply valve left partly shut, a clogged filter cartridge, low building pressure or a sticking inlet valve are the usual causes. Opening the valve fully and fitting a fresh filter clears the simple cases; a valve that hums without passing water is a visit. ### Usually leads to Ice machine water valve and filter repair The inlet valve, filter, sump float or level probe and supply line, tested and replaced when water arrives short, dirty or nonstop. ### Shows up as Ice Machine Error Code or Flashing Light: What It Is Telling You An ice machine error code may show as a number on a small display, a pattern of blinking lights on the control board, a colored light on the front, or a machine that stops with one indicator flashing. ### Make Monogram For a Monogram ice machine built into cabinetry, the technician plans access to the drain and water connections before pulling anything forward. ### Source Monogram UCC15NP clear-ice machine owner's manual (GE Appliances) Monogram UNC15NP nugget and UCC15NP clear-ice machines with the GSWF filter. ## Before you book, in this order. Turn the machine off and make sure the Making Ice light is out. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Where is the filter on a Monogram ice machine? Behind the water filter access door at the bottom front of the machine. It comes out with about a quarter turn to the left. ### I changed the Monogram filter and the light is still on. Why? The timer has to be reset by pressing Filter Reset after the change; the machine does not detect the new cartridge by itself. ### How long does a Monogram GSWF filter last in an ice machine? Monogram plans for about 6 months, less after periods of heavy ice production. --- **[Read on the site: Monogram Replace Filter light: the GSWF cartridge is due](https://icemachinerepair.center/error-codes/monogram-replace-filter/)** **[Book a visit with IceMachineRepair.center](https://icemachinerepair.center/schedule/)**
