--- title: "True E32: suction pressure dropped below 10 psi" description: "What E32 means on True E32: suction pressure dropped below 10 psis, what to check before booking, and when it is not a failure at all." url: "https://icemachinerepair.center/error-codes/true-e32/" --- # True E32: suction pressure dropped below 10 psi True's LP1 transducer watches the suction side. ## What E32 actually means. True's LP1 transducer watches the suction side. A reading under 10 psi while freezing points at too little refrigerant flow, which True's own steps trace through cycle times, the ice pattern on the evaporator and, if needed, a leak or restriction check. True Residential ice machine display What to do when E32 shows on the ice machine ### Kind of code Cooling system The board saw temperatures or pressures that the sealed system should never reach: a discharge line too hot, a suction side that never cools, or a compressor that starts and stops on its overload. A dirty condenser can push a healthy system into this family, so it is the first thing to rule out; a low charge, a leak or a tired compressor is not. On many current machines that system holds R-290, which is flammable, and only a technician opens it. ### Usually leads to Ice machine compressor and sealed system repair The compressor, its start parts and the sealed system, including machines on flammable R-290, tested for pressure and leaks and repaired by the maker's procedure. ### Shows up as Ice Machine Error Code or Flashing Light: What It Is Telling You An ice machine error code may show as a number on a small display, a pattern of blinking lights on the control board, a colored light on the front, or a machine that stops with one indicator flashing. ### Make True Residential True ice machine visits begin with the installation: the supply, the drain fall and the clearance the machine needs to cool. ### Source True Ice TCIM modular ice machine service manual (TEC_TM_198 Rev A) True Ice TCIM air-cooled modular heads (TCIM-422 to TCIM-830), touchscreen control; the code shows on the active alarm screen and stays in the alarm log. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from True Residential's own guidance for E32 on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Look at the evaporator through the curtain area: note whether ice is forming only on part of the plate. 02 Do not attempt to add refrigerant or open any line; the system runs on flammable R-290. 03 Book a visit and mention the ice pattern you saw; a leak check and restriction test need a technician. ### Still there? It usually turns into [ice machine compressor and sealed system repair](https://icemachinerepair.center/services/ice-machine-compressor-and-sealed-system-repair/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do E32 is a real low reading, not a sensor that lost its signal, which would be E8. It is also different from E13, which is a low evaporator outlet temperature read by a probe rather than a pressure. ## What you may notice with it. The ice machine problems E32 tends to arrive with. Look at the evaporator through the curtain area: note whether ice is forming only on part of the plate. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Can a low charge cause E32 on a True? It can. True's service guide lists leaks and restrictions among the checks for this alarm, along with the ice pattern and cycle times. ### I smell gas near my True ice machine showing E32. What now? Do not switch anything on or off near the machine, ventilate, leave the room and book a visit; call 911 if the smell is strong. R-290 is propane-based and flammable. ### Why is ice forming on only part of my True evaporator? Partial freezing is the classic pattern when refrigerant flow is short. It is one of the first things a technician looks at when E32 is logged. --- **[Read on the site: True E32: suction pressure dropped below 10 psi](https://icemachinerepair.center/error-codes/true-e32/)** **[Book a visit with IceMachineRepair.center](https://icemachinerepair.center/schedule/)**
