The water level sensor in the reservoir expects to see water shortly after the inlet opens. When it sees none for 2 minutes, the control stops and blinks the No Water lamp; Viking's table names this Er15 and points first at supply pressure, then at the level sensor itself. Viking ice machine display · also shown as NO WATER lamp blinking, Water supply error What to do when Er15 shows on the ice machine ### Kind of code Water supply The water side came up short: the trough did not fill in the time allowed, the float or level probe never saw water, or water kept flowing when the inlet valve should have closed. A supply valve left partly shut, a clogged filter cartridge, low building pressure or a sticking inlet valve are the usual causes. Opening the valve fully and fitting a fresh filter clears the simple cases; a valve that hums without passing water is a visit. ### Usually leads to Ice machine water valve and filter repair The inlet valve, filter, sump float or level probe and supply line, tested and replaced when water arrives short, dirty or nonstop. ### Shows up as Ice Machine Error Code or Flashing Light: What It Is Telling You An ice machine error code may show as a number on a small display, a pattern of blinking lights on the control board, a colored light on the front, or a machine that stops with one indicator flashing. ### Make Viking A Viking ice machine call covers the panel-ready install, the drain and the water side before the cooling system is looked at. ### Source Viking FNIU515D nugget ice machine Install / Use & Care manual Viking FNIU515D 15-inch panel-ready nugget ice machine (Install / Use & Care manual, Rev C). Viking's clear-ice models use a display, not these lamps. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Viking's own guidance for Er15 on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Open the shutoff valve feeding the machine fully and check the supply line for kinks behind the cabinet. 02 If the house recently had the water off, run a nearby tap until it flows clear, then switch the machine off and on at its mode switch. 03 If the No Water lamp blinks again with good pressure, book a visit to test the water level sensor and inlet valve. ### Still there? It usually turns into [ice machine water valve and filter repair](https://icemachinerepair.center/services/ice-machine-water-valve-and-filter-repair/). Book with the code and the model number. ### What not to do Er15 is not the drain condition, which blinks the Drain lamp instead. It is also different from the steady No Water lamp in the control guide, which simply reports a low supply while the machine keeps trying. ## What you may notice with it. Open the shutoff valve feeding the machine fully and check the supply line for kinks behind the cabinet. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Which lamp blinks for Er15 on a Viking nugget ice machine? Only the No Water lamp. The Ice and Drain lamps stay out. ### Can a water filter cause Er15 on my Viking? A clogged filter on the supply line lowers the flow and can leave the reservoir short, so check any inline filter along with the valve. ### Does Viking's Er15 clear by itself once the water is back? Viking's table says to start operation again after the check, so switch the machine off and on once the supply is restored. --- **[Read on the site: Viking Er15: the nugget ice machine found no water for 2 minutes](https://icemachinerepair.center/error-codes/viking-er15/)** **[Book a visit with IceMachineRepair.center](https://icemachinerepair.center/schedule/)**
