The ice-full sensor in the bin pauses production when ice reaches it, and the Ice lamp shows this with a slow on-off rhythm. When ice is used and the sensor warms, the lamp goes back to steady and the machine restarts; a faster blink, once a second, means the wash cycle is running instead. Viking ice machine display · also shown as Ice Full, Washing What to do when ICE lamp blinking (2 seconds on, 1 off) shows on the ice machine ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure Nothing is broken; the control is reporting a state someone chose or a routine it runs: a clean or sanitize reminder counting the hours since the last cycle, a delay of a few minutes after power returns before the pump and compressor start, a bin-full light while the bin control is satisfied, or a standby or off mode someone chose at the keypad. No part is needed; finishing the cycle the light asks for, waiting out the delay or the key sequence from the manual ends it. ### Usually leads to No repair Use or remove some ice; the machine restarts on its own once the sensor warms. ### Shows up as Ice Machine Error Code or Flashing Light: What It Is Telling You An ice machine error code may show as a number on a small display, a pattern of blinking lights on the control board, a colored light on the front, or a machine that stops with one indicator flashing. ### Make Viking A Viking ice machine call covers the panel-ready install, the drain and the water side before the cooling system is looked at. ### Source Viking FNIU515D nugget ice machine Install / Use & Care manual Viking FNIU515D nugget ice machine. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Viking's own guidance for ICE lamp blinking (2 seconds on, 1 off) on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Use or remove some ice; the machine restarts on its own once the sensor warms. 02 If the bin is not full, check that no clump of ice or the scoop is resting against the sensor. 03 If the lamp keeps this rhythm with an empty bin, book a visit. ### Cleared? The light or code is gone, and the machine fills, freezes and drops a full batch of cubes into the bin with no new part. If it returns within a week, or the clean light comes back straight after a cleaning cycle, mention that in the booking. ### What not to do A full-bin blink is not Er03, which also blinks the Ice lamp but during normal icemaking with room in the bin. It is not a drain or water problem. ## What you may notice with it. The ice machine problems ICE lamp blinking (2 seconds on, 1 off) tends to arrive with. Use or remove some ice; the machine restarts on its own once the sensor warms. ### My Viking nugget ice machine stopped and the Ice lamp is pulsing. Is it broken? If the bin is full, no. The machine pauses until ice is used and then restarts by itself. ### What does a fast-blinking Ice lamp mean on a Viking? A blink every second is the wash cycle, when the mode switch is set to cleaning. ### My Viking bin is half empty but the Ice lamp shows full. Why? Ice or the scoop may be touching the sensor, or the room may be cold enough to fool it. If neither is true, book a visit. --- **[Read on the site: Viking Ice lamp blinking slowly: the nugget ice machine bin is full](https://icemachinerepair.center/error-codes/viking-ice-lamp-blinking/)** **[Book a visit with IceMachineRepair.center](https://icemachinerepair.center/schedule/)**
