Book a visit

# Book an ice machine repair visit.

One short form books an ice machine visit, with no card details required. You pay nothing until the machine has been through a cycle in front of a technician and the fix has been laid out for you.

## What the form asks, and why.

What you write is read before the van leaves, which improves the odds that the valve, probe or switch your machine needs is already on board. The form is a request, not a contract, and no figure is quoted until the reason for the trouble is known.

Have the model number to hand if you can find it: [where the model and serial are](https://icemachinerepair.center/guides/find-the-ice-machine-model-and-serial/) covers the usual places.

### Step one The machine and what it does

Modular head on a bin, undercounter, nugget or dispenser, the make, and whether it makes no ice, too little, thin or cloudy cubes, will not harvest, runs water nonstop, backs up at the drain, leaks or shows a light or code. That tells us who to send and which valves, probes and switches to bring.

### Step two A time that suits the shift

Morning or afternoon, on a day that works around service hours, deliveries or the household.

### Step three Reaching the machine

Where it stands (behind the bar, in a back room, under an island), where its water valve and breaker are, whether the condenser sits on the roof, and a phone for the day. Manager or owner, a service entrance, a loading dock, a parking spot: every detail saves time.

## After you book, the visit.

The three steps above are the booking. These four are what happens once a technician is in your kitchen, bar or back room.

[What repairs cost](https://icemachinerepair.center/cost/)

01

### One cycle, watched closely

The technician watches the machine fill, freeze and harvest, checking the water flow over the plate, the condenser air or water, the harvest timing and the bin control, then the drain. Covers come off and wiring is touched only by the technician, with the power off where the work allows.

02

### The cause, then the price

Standing at the bin, the technician names the worn part and its price together, and orders nothing until you nod. If buying a new ice machine is the wiser money, you will hear that too, in plain words.

03

### Parts that travel with us

Water filters, inlet valves, drain pump parts, curtain switches and common probes often ride in the van. A control board, an evaporator, a fan motor or a compressor fits one model and gets ordered; give us the serial up front and that order may already be moving when we arrive.

04

### A harvest before we go

With the part fitted and the covers back on, the machine runs a full cycle while you watch, the cubes are checked for size and clarity, the drain is checked for a clean flow, and the bin is left filling.

## Before the technician arrives.

Three things that make the first visit the only one.

[What a code means](https://icemachinerepair.center/error-codes/)

### Leave it off after a leak, a smell or a hiss

After water across the floor, a burning smell, a tripped breaker, or a hiss or gas smell, do not switch the machine back on to test it. Keep its power off, close its water supply valve, and wait for us.

### Write down the lights

A clean light, a flashing code, a number on the display, a light that stays on after a full bin: note it or take a photo. A code without the make and model next to it is only half the answer.

### Make room around it

Clear boxes and cases away from the front grille and the sides, empty the bin into a cooler if you need the ice, and move anything stored in front of the drain. It also helps to recall what came just before: a filter change, a cleaning, a heat wave, a power cut, a plumber working on the line.

## Where we come out.

Nine metros. If your street is not listed, give the address in the form and we will say straight away.

## Questions about booking.

### Is there a charge for asking for an ice machine visit?

No. Sending the request is free and no payment is taken in advance. No valve, probe or board is fitted until you have heard why it failed, what it comes to, and agreed.

### Where do I find the model and serial on an ice machine?

On a modular head, look at the back panel or along the edge under the front cover. Undercounter machines usually carry the plate behind the lower grille or inside the door frame, and dispensers on the back or the side. If reading it means crawling behind the unit or climbing over the bin, skip it; the technician copies it down on arrival.

### Can the ice machine repair be booked by phone instead?

Yes. The number and the office hours are at the top of every page. A phone call and a form reach the same team, and on a busy morning the form is often answered sooner.

### What if my ice machine turns out not to be worth repairing?

The technician tells you during the diagnosis and gives the reasons before any part is ordered. A failed compressor on a small, older undercounter unit and a failed water valve on a large modular head lead to opposite answers, and the visit is how we find out which case yours is.
