What SL#2
actually means.
On a KoolAire head the harvest ends when the sheet of cubes falls and swings the water curtain, whose magnet the bin switch reads. If the ice clings to the plate, the board gives up at the cap and returns to freezing. Three such harvests make SL#2 flash; the head keeps working until the stop count for its board software is reached, and then stops with SL#2 lit steadily.

A freeze ran longer than the board allows, or a harvest started and the ice never fell. Scale on the evaporator holds the sheet to the plate, a thickness probe crusted with minerals never signals, a hot gas valve that does not open leaves the plate cold, a harvest assist that does not push, or a water curtain that swings without tripping its switch all end in this family. A cleaning cycle run by the manual often clears it; a valve or a probe is a technician's job.

Cycle the toggle switch OFF and back to ICE, then confirm that only SL#2 flashes.
Open the door and check the water curtain is fitted, its magnet is attached, and no cubes are wedged against it.
If the slab still hangs on the plate on the next harvest, book a visit.
