What E02
actually means.
A Manitowoc harvest ends when the falling slab opens the water curtain or ice damper. If that does not happen in time, the board returns to freezing and counts the long harvest; on older Indigo boards the head keeps going for hundreds of them, on Indigo NXT it stops after three. Scale, a head that is out of level, cold air around the head, a curtain that cannot swing, a weak hot gas valve or a harvest assist that does not push are the usual reasons.

A freeze ran longer than the board allows, or a harvest started and the ice never fell. Scale on the evaporator holds the sheet to the plate, a thickness probe crusted with minerals never signals, a hot gas valve that does not open leaves the plate cold, a harvest assist that does not push, or a water curtain that swings without tripping its switch all end in this family. A cleaning cycle run by the manual often clears it; a valve or a probe is a technician's job.

Each step comes from Manitowoc's own guidance for E02 on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Open the front and look at the water curtain: it must be in place and swing freely, with no cubes wedged against it.
Check that the room around the head is at least 35 °F and that the head sits level.
Restart with the On/Off button and watch one harvest; if the slab still hangs on the plate, book a visit.
