What E06
actually means.

The dispenser uses a temperature sensor to watch for overheating. When that sensor reads open or shorted, the board cannot trust it and stops with E06.

What to do when E06 shows on the ice machine

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Blue Air's own guidance for E06 on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Switch the dispenser off and on once.

02

If it was recently moved, mention it at booking; a loose connector is possible.

03

Book a visit to have the sensor checked with a meter and replaced.

What not to do

E06 is not the compressor actually overheating; that is E02, with the Ice button blinking once a second instead of twice. It is also not the bin full sensor, E11.

What you may
notice with it.

The ice machine problems E06 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the ice machine before anyone is booked.

Questions
about E06.

Can I clear E06 myself?
Switch the dispenser off and on once. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
How do I tell E02 from E06 on a Blue Air dispenser?
Count the blinks of the Ice button: once a second is E02, an actual overheat; twice a second is E06, a sensor that failed.
Will cleaning the filter clear E06 on my Blue Air?
No. E06 is the sensor itself, not heat, so it needs the sensor tested.
Can the Blue Air dispenser run without that sensor?
No. The board stops because it cannot watch for overheating without it.

Still showing E06?

A booking with a code goes further when it carries the light or code copied as it appeared, the model and serial off the data plate, and a word on whether cubes still fall into the bin. With those three in hand, our office can match the probable part to your machine the same afternoon.
