What 7 beeps
actually means.
High-voltage protection is the twin of the low-voltage alarm. When the supply climbs to roughly 147 volts, the board stops the unit and sounds seven beeps, then resets itself when voltage returns to normal. Wiring errors, a loose neutral, or utility surges are the usual causes.

What to do when 7 beeps shows on the ice machineKind of codeControl board and power
The board lost track of itself or of its power: a voltage too low or too high at startup, a relay that no longer closes, a keypad or display that stays dark, or a memory error after a surge. Switching off at the machine's own switch for a minute clears a passing glitch. A code that returns, a breaker that trips, or any hot or burning smell means the power stays off and the board, the wiring and the relays are left to a technician.

Shows up asIce Machine Error Code or Flashing Light: What It Is Telling You
An ice machine error code may show as a number on a small display, a pattern of blinking lights on the control board, a colored light on the front, or a machine that stops with one indicator flashing.

On a Hoshizaki ice machine, the technician notes every alarm signal and checks the water and condenser before pricing any part.

KM crescent cubers, both self-contained (KM-231, KM-301) and modular (KM-350 to KM-660), repeat the beep pattern from the control board inside the unit. DCM cubelet icemaker/dispensers (DCM-300, 500, 751, 752) repeat the beeps every five seconds and also light an orange ALARM LED; their beep list differs from the KM list.
Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Hoshizaki's own guidance for 7 beeps on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Switch the unit off if the alarm repeats.
Have an electrician check the outlet and circuit; a loose neutral can push voltage high.
Book a visit if the unit does not restart once voltage is confirmed normal.

What not to do
Seven beeps are not a board failure; the board is guarding the unit. They are not the same alarm as six beeps, which is low voltage.

A booking with a code goes further when it carries the light or code copied as it appeared, the model and serial off the data plate, and a word on whether cubes still fall into the bin. With those three in hand, our office can match the probable part to your machine the same afternoon.
