What E30
actually means.

Heads fitted with TrueZone carry a UV lamp with its own status screen. E30 tells you the control saw low current, high current or a lamp that has passed its run time; the UV information screen in the menu says which.

What to do when E30 shows on the ice machine

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from True Residential's own guidance for E30 on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Open the UV information screen in the menu and note whether it shows low current, high current or lamp time exceeded.

02

If it shows lamp time exceeded, plan a bulb replacement per True's procedure.

03

Book a visit for a current problem; the lamp circuit is checked with power isolated, and UV light should never be looked at directly.

Still there?

It usually turns into ice machine control board repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E30 is not a sign that ice is unsafe on its own; the ice machine keeps its normal cleaning schedule either way. Heads without TrueZone do not raise it.

Questions
about E30.

Can I clear E30 myself?
Open the UV information screen in the menu and note whether it shows low current, high current or lamp time exceeded. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
What is TrueZone on a True ice machine?
It is True's UV system, fitted on some heads, with its own bulb and a status screen.
Does E30 mean I should stop using the ice?
No. Keep up the regular cleaning and sanitizing, and have the UV system repaired.
How is the UV bulb replaced on a True?
True has a bulb replacement procedure and a separate cleanup procedure for a broken lamp, which is why we handle it on a visit.

Still showing E30?

A booking with a code goes further when it carries the light or code copied as it appeared, the model and serial off the data plate, and a word on whether cubes still fall into the bin. With those three in hand, our office can match the probable part to your machine the same afternoon.
