What E5
actually means.

The board fills the trough and checks the level with a probe. Low water pressure, an inlet valve that does not open, a probe that misreads, or a drain valve leaking water away all leave the level short, and the machine stops with E5.

What to do when E5 shows on the ice machine

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Atosa's own guidance for E5 on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Make sure the water supply valve to the machine is fully open.

02

Check the included water filter; a clogged cartridge cuts the flow.

03

Watch the drain for water running out while the machine fills, which points to a leaking drain valve.

04

If E5 returns with good pressure, book a visit to check the inlet valve and level probe.

Still there?

It usually turns into ice machine water valve and filter repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

On the display models E5 is not a condenser alarm, which is what the older Y-series manual called E5. It is also not E7, which is water that arrives too warm.

Questions
about E5.

Can I clear E5 myself?
Make sure the water supply valve to the machine is fully open. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
My Atosa shows E5 but the water is on. Why?
Pressure may be too low, the filter may be clogged, or the inlet valve or level probe may not be working. A drain valve that leaks lets the water escape as fast as it fills.
Can a water filter cause E5 on an Atosa?
Yes. Atosa ships its machines with a 3M filter system, and an overdue cartridge restricts the flow enough to trip E5.
Will my Atosa restart after E5 by itself?
The manual does not describe an automatic retry for the display models. After fixing the supply, switch the machine off and on; if E5 returns, book a visit.

A booking with a code goes further when it carries the light or code copied as it appeared, the model and serial off the data plate, and a word on whether cubes still fall into the bin. With those three in hand, our office can match the probable part to your machine the same afternoon.
