What E6
actually means.

When the condenser cannot reject heat, the pressure in the sealed system climbs. Atosa's board stops the machine with E6 before it gets dangerous. Its checklist is the location and airflow, a dirty or clogged condenser, and the condenser fans.

What to do when E6 shows on the ice machine

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Atosa's own guidance for E6 on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Give the machine room: clear boxes and equipment away from the air intake and exhaust.

02

Wash the removable condenser air filter.

03

Listen for the condenser fan; if it is silent while the machine runs, book a visit.

04

If E6 returns after cleaning, book a visit; the machine runs on R290, so the sealed system is only opened by a technician.

Still there?

It usually turns into ice machine condenser and fan repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E6 is not E4, which only reports a hot condenser without the pressure trip. It is also not a sign of a gas leak by itself; a hiss or gas smell is a separate emergency.

Where E6 usually leads

Ice machine condenser and fan repair.

Condenser cleaning, fan motor, water regulating valve or remote condenser work · low to moderate.

Questions
about E6.

Can I clear E6 myself?
Give the machine room: clear boxes and equipment away from the air intake and exhaust. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
What causes high pressure on an Atosa ice machine?
Mostly heat that cannot leave: a clogged filter or condenser, a fan that is not running, or a machine boxed in without airflow.
Is E6 on an R290 Atosa dangerous?
The trip protects the system, so E6 itself is not a leak. If you ever smell gas or hear hissing near the machine, leave the room and book a visit from outside it.
How often should I clean the Atosa condenser filter to avoid E6?
Atosa asks for the air filter to be cleaned once a month.

A booking with a code goes further when it carries the light or code copied as it appeared, the model and serial off the data plate, and a word on whether cubes still fall into the bin. With those three in hand, our office can match the probable part to your machine the same afternoon.
