What E7
actually means.

The display models watch the temperature of the water they are about to freeze. If it is too warm, ice forms slowly or not at all, and the board stops with E7. Atosa points to the inlet valve and water level probe, since water that does not refresh warms up in the trough.

What to do when E7 shows on the ice machine

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Atosa's own guidance for E7 on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Check that the supply line is not running past a water heater, a hot pipe or a dishwasher feed.

02

Make sure the water supply valve is fully open so fresh water keeps coming.

03

If E7 returns, book a visit to check the inlet valve and water level probe.

Still there?

It usually turns into ice machine water valve and filter repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

E7 is not a sensor that is unplugged; that is E3. It is also not E4, which is about the condenser rather than the water.

Where E7 usually leads

Ice machine water valve and filter repair.

Inlet valve, sump float or level probe, supply line and filter head · low to moderate.

Questions
about E7.

Can I clear E7 myself?
Check that the supply line is not running past a water heater, a hot pipe or a dishwasher feed. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why would the water to my Atosa be too warm?
A supply line that shares a run with hot water, a line through a hot ceiling space, or water sitting in the trough because the inlet valve is not refreshing it.
Does E7 on an Atosa mean the ice is unsafe?
No. It means the machine has stopped because warm water freezes poorly. The ice already in the bin is not affected.
Can E7 show up on an Atosa in summer only?
It can, when the water in the building's pipes warms up. If it happens every warm day, book a visit to look at the line and the inlet valve.

Back to your everyday

Still showing E7?

A booking with a code goes further when it carries the light or code copied as it appeared, the model and serial off the data plate, and a word on whether cubes still fall into the bin. With those three in hand, our office can match the probable part to your machine the same afternoon.
