The clear-ice machine counts its cycles and, every 3,000 of them, starts alternating CL with ICE. Scale on the cold evaporator plate is what the reminder is about; ice keeps coming while it shows, and the reminder resets after a complete cleaning cycle.

Each step comes from Viking's own guidance for CL on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Turn the machine off with the On/Off icon so the display reads OFF, and empty the bin.
Start the clean cycle as the manual describes and pour the cleaning solution slowly on the evaporator plate.
Let the cycle run about 45 minutes, check that the build-up is gone, and repeat if not; book a visit if CL returns right away.
Cleared?
The light or code is gone, and the machine fills, freezes and drops a full batch of cubes into the bin with no new part. If it returns within a week, or the clean light comes back straight after a cleaning cycle, mention that in the booking.
What not to do
CL is a reminder, not a failure, and does not stop production. A blank display, by contrast, is the drain pump safety cutting power.
