What Er03
actually means.

Er03 is the early version of the warm-evaporator check: 10 minutes after ice making starts, the evaporator should already be below freezing. U-Line groups it with Er01 and asks for the cooling problem to be fixed before power is restored.

What to do when Er03 shows on the ice machine

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from U-Line's own guidance for Er03 on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Note the rhythm: an even blink once a second is the wash cycle, and a two-second-on, one-second-off blink is a full bin.

02

If neither applies, turn the machine off and check that the front grille is clear.

03

Book a visit so the evaporator temperature and the sensor can be checked.

Still there?

It usually turns into ice machine compressor and sealed system repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

Because the ICE lamp also blinks in the wash cycle and on a full bin, check its rhythm first. Er03 has nothing to do with water or draining, which have lamps of their own.

Questions
about Er03.

Can I clear Er03 myself?
Note the rhythm: an even blink once a second is the wash cycle, and a two-second-on, one-second-off blink is a full bin. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
How can I tell Er03 apart from a full bin on my U-Line nugget machine?
Check the bin and time the blink. A full bin shows ICE on for two seconds and off for one, and you will see ice up to the top.
Is Er03 less serious than Er01 on a U-Line?
Both point to an evaporator that is not getting cold. Er03 is caught earlier in the cycle, so it deserves the same visit.
Can a hot room cause Er03?
A very hot room slows cooling, so check airflow at the grille, but a repeat in a normal room needs a technician.

Still showing Er03?

A booking with a code goes further when it carries the light or code copied as it appeared, the model and serial off the data plate, and a word on whether cubes still fall into the bin. With those three in hand, our office can match the probable part to your machine the same afternoon.
