What Er25
actually means.

Er25 is a too-cold warning. U-Line ties it to a low room temperature and asks for the machine to be run where the air is above 50°F. It is most often seen on outdoor and garage installations in cold weather.

What to do when Er25 shows on the ice machine

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from U-Line's own guidance for Er25 on its ice machines. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Check the temperature where the machine stands; if it is below 50°F, the machine should not run there until it warms.

02

Once the space is warm enough, turn the machine off and on again.

03

If the lamps come on steady in a warm room, book a visit to check the evaporator sensor.

It usually turns into ice machine compressor and sealed system repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

Steady lamps are different from blinking ones: all three blinking is Er01, a warm evaporator. A steady DRAIN lamp alone is normal draining.

Questions
about Er25.

Can I clear Er25 myself?
Check the temperature where the machine stands; if it is below 50°F, the machine should not run there until it warms. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why does my outdoor U-Line nugget machine show all lamps lit in winter?
Cold air lets the evaporator run too cold, which is Er25. U-Line asks for operation above 50°F.
Should I winterize my outdoor U-Line nugget machine?
If the space will be cold for a season, yes: shut it down and drain it rather than leaving it to run into Er25.
Is Er25 bad for the machine?
The control stops it to protect the evaporator. It needs warmer air, not a part, unless it happens in a warm room.

A booking with a code goes further when it carries the light or code copied as it appeared, the model and serial off the data plate, and a word on whether cubes still fall into the bin. With those three in hand, our office can match the probable part to your machine the same afternoon.
